After much thought I have decided to do a Project 365 approach to capture my daily life in 2015. I attempted 100Days of Happiness last year but was derailed by a flare and a few other life events. I feel that being restricted to only capturing life at its high points was not in my best interest at this point in time. I feel having the ability to share a picture from my day regardless of what is going on and the temperament of the day will allow me to participate daily without having to force myself to be happy during times when this is extremely hard to do. I will update this as frequently as I can but you can also follow me on Instagram if you want to get instant updates that I plan on using for this project as well as other posts I make on there.
Day 40 of 365 (2/10/15) Doug and I went and saw American Sniper today. Good movie, intense, and pretty much what we expected.
Day 39 of 365 (2/9/15) Sometimes you become a visual aide when you are studying. I was focusing on reviewing mapping and charting in my Reflexology studies today so I drew the areas on my hand. It clicked pretty quick after I did.
Day 38 of 365 (2/8/15) For dinner tonight I made pasta with sausage and mushroom pasta sauce. It was awesome! I love cooking at home.
Day 37 of 365 (2/6/15) Our croci/crocuses bloomed. Crazy flowers do they not feel the temps outside and realize it’s still early February!? Amazingly beautiful teaser for spring though.
Day 36 of 365 (2/5/15) Celebrate family and friends. This seemed appropriate for where my mind has been lately. I consider my close friends family. I believe each one of my family members be them blood or chosen is reason for celebration. So thankful for them all.
Day 35 of 365 (2/4/15) Buddies! Doug and Timber hanging out on the couch.
Day 34 of 365 (2/3/15) It was therapy day again today. There’s a new table in my room. It’s larger and a little intrusive compared to the smaller black one that use to be there. New table aside it was a great session. Cover a lot of things today and I go back in 3 weeks.
Day 33 of 365 (2/2/15) Spent the morning at a local coffee shop with a friend catching up.
Day 32 of 365 (2/1/15) Finding this in my email this afternoon made me happy. I wasn’t expecting it until tomorrow, so I’m really glad to have it my second week of assignments a day early!
Day 31 of 365 (1/31/15)
Day 30 of 365 (1/30/15) My owl drying mat makes washing the dishes a little less boring.
Day 29 of 365(1/29/15) Another game I’m addicted to! Two Dots!
Day 28 of 365 (1/28/15) Even timber agrees it’s a perfect evening for relaxing on the couch.
Day 27 of 365 (1/27/15) I printed off the documents for my conference call tomorrow. I am beginning the process of becoming a certified Reflexologist!
Day 26 of 365 (1/26/15) Today I had a rheumatology appointment. I see him every 3-4 months. So this was just a routine appointment. Just hanging out while waiting for my doctor to come in. Luckily Doug was there to keep me company. These appointments are always a little weird. Rheumatologists like to squeeze your joints, yep.
Day 25 of 365 (1/25/15) So this made Doug and I laugh pretty hard when we got to the grocery store this afternoon. It’s the new compact mini! Ah laughter and silliness.
Day 24 of 365 (1/24/15) This stuff has saved my hands this winter. I have really dry skin (I’ll spare the gross details) and it’s been a life saver. It’s a new favorite of mine from Bath and Body Works!
Day 23 of 365 (1/23/15) The lunch of champions… Minty chocolate frozen yogurt with Andes Chocolates and granola. yum!
Day 22 of 365 (1/21/15) Zazzle snuggling before bedtime. We had no idea how big of a lap cat she was when she moved in with us a couple years ago. She loves hanging out and snuggling. As long as it’s on her terms.
Day 21 of 365 (1/21/15) Doug drew this for me at lunch. We enjoyed a dish called the cookie skillet at a local restaurant. Yea…. It was good and just one part of my birthday sugar overload. It was an amazing day spent kicking off my 31st year of life. Here’s to hoping the rest of the year is as amazing!
Day 20 of 365 (1/20/15) This is where I go to talk about my feelings. I had therapy today. It was a good session. We covered a lot of ground and I’m beginning to let go of some unnecessary guilt that I’ve been carrying around. Therapy has been one of the best decisions I made last year.
Day 19 of 365 (1/19/15) Day 2 of no ( sham) poo. My curls were extra bouncy and great today! I’ll call this a great hair day. Even got me hit on.
Day 18 of 365 (1/18/15) Today was day 1 of my 2nd attempt of going No-poo. I went for almost 2 years before I got ‘sick’ with a couple of chronic illnesses and didn’t have the energy to keep up with my routine. Today I start back. Tonight I washed my hair with a baking soda paste and conditioned.
Day 17 of 365 (1/17/15) I came home to flowers on my pillow from my sweet husband. No reason, just because (or maybe it’s a birthday week kickoff present😊). He’s pretty awesome like that.
Day 16 of 365 (1/16/15) Sunset on the way to dinner tonight. We left Sticks and Stones a little later than usual this evening. Trade off was getting to see a beautiful sunset.
Day 15 of 365 (1/15/15) New hair cut. Face an anxiety of mine: hair salons. It was a busy day with positive outcomes.
Day 14 of 365 (1/14/15) These eye drops are amazing if you have moderate to severe dry eyes like I do! That’s one of the lupie issues I am battling right now, severe dryness issues. My skin, lips, eyes, no fun. These gel drops are so amazing though. A little expensive for eye drops but so worth it!
Day 13 of 365 (1/13/15) I was gifted a pumpkin with a caveat of having to bring back tasty treats from something I chose to make with it. So excited! This will make many tasty treats.
Day 12 0f 365 (1/12/15) Do I look a little stressed? I was. The afternoon was a bit stressful. I went to the pharmacy to pick up prescriptions to find out one the most important ones is still on backorder. Azathioprine is on backorder at all manufacturers in the US with an unknown release date for the next batches. The Pharmacist told me my best bet was to ask around at the other pharmacies or the ask my doctor I switch me to a different medication. Luckily I lucked out and found a supply on my first attempt. Took a little while for the stress to leave thought. Took this pick right after putting my meds away. Yep life gets tricky when you are on medications that are considered ‘special order’ by pharmacies.
Day 11of 365 (1/11/15) Yep I started playing this blasted game. Yep I have a problem. Yes it might be an addiction. Nope I’m not going to stop anytime soon. We all have our vices.
Day 10 of 365 (1/10/15) Our guilty pleasure breakfast on the way to the office on an early Saturday morning is usually doughnuts from QT. So bad but so tasty!
Day 9 of 365 (1/9/15) We spent Friday night at one of our favorite coffee shops talking and solving zengrams together. A highly addictive puzzle game that I stumbled upon for free in the Kindle store a few days ago. It kept us fairly entertained.
Day 8 of 365 (1/8/15) A deep tissue massage from Doug was a great treat on this cold evening!
Day 7 of 365 (1/7/15) It has been a cold day so I’ve been snuggled under this quilt. It was made for me before I was born. That makes it 31+ years old almost! That paisley design is one of my favorite spots on the quilt. I have loved paisley since I was a child!
Day 6 of 365 (1/6/15) The Last bit of daylight after sunset this evening was strikingly beautiful!
Day 5 of 365 (1/5/15) I signed up for the Charlotte Walk To End Lupus Now! Goal of 5 out of 10 Members. Our team is in 2nd place at the moment!
Day 4 of 365 (1/4/15) Dinner tonight was homemade Chicken and Dumplings. So good, filling, and comforting.
Day 3 of 365 (1/3/15) Settling in after a long day. I have a serious lap cat who makes sure to have lap-time as soon as I sit down in the evenings. She stays by my side a lot though. She’s awesome.
Day 2 of 365 (1/2/15) This is one of the decorations one of the coffee shops we frequent put up for Christmas. Soon it will be tucked away until next Christmas. That’s okay, it’s a little creepy anyways.
Day 1 of 365 (1/1/15) New Year Day Dinner, Ham, Black Eyed Peas, and Cabbage. Traditions.
