What an exciting fact! If I wore a purple Lupus shirt to my university the kids might think I was advertising Cadbury chocolate, but I will definitely be in on this month!

HAHA! I’m trying to convince several people in my life to wear purple. It’s a Friday so I think if a large group of us got together and wore purple it could be awesome. Though I get that most people will not understand what everyone is wearing purple for. Some people will take notice and ask. Some will not. I will do my part though for the entire month to raise awareness. 🙂 Good luck in your own ventures of doing so! 🙂

Hi Nicole, I stumbled upon your blog as a fellow blogger in the Blogging 101 course. I have been donating to the Lupus Foundation of America for a few years, but I’ve never met anybody that had Lupus and didn’t know much about it. Reading one of your other posts I began to see how difficult and upsetting it must be; truly my heart goes out to you. I will wear purple on 16th and think of you every time I get a phone call from the LFA.

This really touches my heart! You have no idea how much this means to me! Good for you for donating to a good cause! I will begin volunteering my time to the foundation very soon. It of course is a cause that is near and dear to my heart not only because of my own personal journey with Lupus but because I have several family members that have or have had Lupus. Everyone’s journey is different. It affects each person differently. There are some amazingly strong people who have Lupus, and I have been blessed to meet them. It is amazing the strength we can find within ourselves when we don’t have any other option but to be strong. I hope you stay in touch!
